Rope Incense

A traditional Newari incense called Dhupaya. It is made traditionally with many different precious aromatic Himalayan herbs. The finely powdered form of the herbs wrapped in the strip of lokta paper & twined forming stick called Dhupaya (Incense).

The smoke issuing out of the burnt Dhupaya is believed to attract the gods and hence it has been put to an extensive use specially in the religious fields both by Hindus & Buddhists. The special aspirants burns the incense white meditation  in order to hold the mind focused on the object of attention. Light a stick from the thicker end & laid down on the incense burner (metal & stone made). It is non toxic non-addictive.

The end of each scent is a different colour.
